What do they do outside of the course?
Outside of the course I am a nurse specialist for older people, I play in 2 local brass bands and I like going to the gym.
How long they have been involved with the course?
I have been involved with the course since 1996, originally as a student, then a committee member and now as Secretary of the Exec.
What is their favourite thing about Wessex?
My favourite thing about Wessex is the the lifelong friends I’ve made and new friends I make each year – also playing different and challenging repertoire you don’t get to play in your home bands.
What has been their favourite Wessex moment?
Playing Rusky Percusky on xylophone and being awarded the percussion prize in the same year.
What are their hopes for the future of the course?
I hope the course continues for years to come and gives as many people the fun, learning and friendships it’s has given me.
