Each year our team of conductors selects a range of music, ranging from brand new compositions to timeless arrangements. Throughout the week students rehearse the music in full band rehearsals and sectionals. There is also one piece selected to be rehearsed and played by the Band of the Wessex Band Summer School, where members of both the wind and brass bands join forces.

Recent selections include ‘Windows of the World’ by Peter Graham, as well ‘Cry of the Celts’ and ‘Hymn of the Highlands’ by Phillip Sparke.
