Damon has been a teacher and professional musician for over 30 years. He started his musical career in the Royal Artillery Band, after training at the renowned “Royal Military School of Music”, Knellar Hall.
Since moving to Buckinghamshire in 2000 he has taught at a number of schools, including Gayhurst School in Gerrards Cross where he has been for the last 10 years. He has worked extensively in Orchestras, Bands and Ensembles and held positions in several West End Orchestras. He was the Deputy Conductor on “West Side Story” at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London, and on the UK National Tour. In 2002, with his wife Shirley, he started the events agency Conferents Ltd which provides personnel, actors and musicians for conferences and events and more recently, in 2009, Conferents Bands, which runs both a Training and Senior Band on Monday evenings during term times and weeklong Music and Drama courses during the three main school holidays.
